General cleaning
Use The Green Stuff as a general cleaner on anything from bench tops and shelving to walls, light fixtures, door frames, appliances, vinyls and leather.
Dilute The Green Stuff 20 parts to 1 in a spray bottle. Spray and wipe with a clean, dry cloth or sponge. If the surface is heavily soiled, scour with a scouring pad or brush.
Laundry
Bleach-free and safe on colours, the Green Stuff makes a great pre-spray for your laundry — it removes virtually every stain, including oil, grease, blood, make-up, coffee, tea, food and ink (note The Green Stuff won’t remove old stains from clothing).
Simply douse the stain with The Green Stuff before doing your machine wash. For chronic stains, it may be a good idea to pre-soak items overnight in a 10 parts to 1 dilution.
Toilets and bathrooms
The Green Stuff will remove soap scum, water stains, rust stains and scale.
Dilute it 10 parts to 1 or 5 parts to 1, depending on build-up — then simply spray and wipe. If the surface is heavily soiled, give it a heavy spray-down, leave for 5 minutes then scrub with a green scouring pad and wipe clean.
Glass mirrors (cleaning and defogging)
Dilute The Green Stuff at 1 tablespoon to 1 litre of water. Spray the mirror, then wipe it clean with a clean, dry cloth or a paper towel/newspaper. To obtain best results, dry it with newspaper. You can also use The Green Stuff with a squeegee.
Floors
The Green Stuff is ideal for any type of flooring, including tiles, linoleum, vinyl and timber — and it’s excellent for use with a floor buffer.
[Simply dilute The Green Stuff x parts to x in a spray bottle.?] Spray the floor or mix the solution into a mop bucket, then mop up — there’s no need to rinse.
For heavily soiled floors and grouting, dilute The Green Stuff 10 parts to 1. Spray the floor or mix the solution into a mop bucket, then apply heavily to the floor, leave for 5 minutes then mop up. Rinsing may be required.
Ovens
The Green Stuff makes cleaning ovens fast and easy!
Dilute it 10 parts to 1 in a spray bottle (or 5 parts to 1 if the oven is badly soiled). Preheat the oven to a warm temperature[specify?], [spray on The Green Stuff then?]leave it for 30 seconds before giving surfaces a quick scrub with a green scourer and wiping them clean.
Carpets and rugs (contact us if you’re trying to remove chewing gum)
The Green Stuff removes virtually any stain in carpet. Dilute it 10 parts to 1 in a spray bottle, then spray or brush it onto stains and leave for 30 seconds. Rub the stains off with a clean, dry cloth.
Carpets (with a machine)
The Green Stuff is ideal for machine cleaning carpets because it doesn’t foam up — and it’s great for heavy traffic areas.
Dilute some of The Green Stuff 10 parts to 1 and spray it onto the carpet. Leave for 5 minutes, then add more of The Green Stuff (diluted in hot water 50 parts to 1) to the machine’s holding tank. Clean carpet as normal and allow to dry.
Stainless steel, aluminium, chrome and brass
The Green Stuff removes pitting, rust stains, water stains and scales from metals — and stops these problems recurring when used regularly.
Dilute The Green Stuff 10 parts to 1 in a spray bottle, wipe the surface then buff with a clean, dry cloth using circular motions. For rust, pitting, water stains, brass and scale, spray The Green Stuff, let it sit 1 minute then buff with 0000 steel wool (along the grain of the metal).
Jewellery (not for pearls)
The Green Stuff leaves jewellery looking shiny, sparkling and clean.
Dilute 1 tablespoon of The Green Stuff in an average glass of warm water. Drop the jewellery into the glass, stir if desired then leave for 5 minutes. Remove the jewellery and polish.
Upholstery (contact us if you’re trying to remove chewing gum)
The Green Stuff is great for spotting stains and cleaning upholstery in pubs, restaurants, homes and cars (note it may not be suitable for very fine fabric, such as silk and satin).
Dilute The Green Stuff 10 parts to 1 in a spray bottle.
- For spot stains, spray it onto the stain, leave for 30 seconds then rub off well with a clean, dry cloth. Dry off well. Soft-bristled brushes are ideal for stubborn stains.
- For entire upholstery, separate the item into sections and spray well on one section at a time. Scrub with a soft bristled brush then rub dry with a clean, dry cloth. Allow to dry.
Cars, trucks and boats
Rinse the vehicle first to remove any excess grit and grime (to avoid scratching). Mix The Green Stuff in a bucket as required[Dilute The Green Stuff in a bucket 10 parts to 1?], then apply it with a sponge or soft brush before rinsing. For best results on glass, towel dry.
To remove road tar, rust or oxidation, use The Green Stuff in a spray bottle diluted at 5 parts to 1, leave for 1-2 minutes then wipe with a cloth or sponge.
Degreasing
Dilute The Green Stuff 5 parts to 1 in a spray bottle. For light grease, simply spray and wipe. For heavy grease, leave it for 2 minutes then wipe.
Concrete, patios and driveways
To remove oil, grease stains, mould, mildew etc from concrete, patios and driveways, dilute The Green Stuff 5 parts to 1 into a bucket. Scrub it heavily into the surface with a hard-bristled brush, leave it for 5 minutes then rinse off with water. For stubborn stains (such as grease and oil), scrub with a wire brush.
